- Paris Saint Germain won 3-0 against AC Milan.
- The historic victory did not much affect the fan token prices.
- Both PSG and ACM traded over 90% below their all-time highs.
YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — Separated by one point in the Champions League’s so-called ‘Group of Death,’ France’s Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Italian AC Milan (ACM) met at Parc des Princes in Paris on Wednesday evening. PSG destroyed ACM 3-0 for the FIRST TIME in Champion’s League history, mind you.
Despite being two of the most prominent football teams, they have met on the field on a competitive basis on only four occasions since the 90s. In two games of the 1995 Champion’s League, Milan got the best of PSG with 2-0 and 1-0, and in two games of the February 2001 championship, PSG managed to push the game to a 1-1 draw.
Fast forward to 2023, PSG got the best of the 7-time UEFA champion in their home stadium, and the fans went bananas, building altars to Mbappe.
But what about the fan tokens? Let’s examine how the teams’ respective coins fared after the match.
PSG vs. ACM Token Traders Dont Care Who Won
Remember how your kindergarten teacher used to say, “It’s about the game and not about winning”? Of course, in sports, it IS all about winning, as PSG fans would concur.
But PSG and ACM token investors, apparently, spread the word of tranquility, love, and unity. Both tokens had the same 2% uptrend on Oct. 26, proving the 22 handsome gentlemen and their coaches had nothing to do with the price action.
The PSG/USD exchange rate stood at $2.93, 94% lower than its all-time high.
ACM coin didn’t fare much better. The ACM/USDT rate reached $1.85 on Oct 26 but still traded 92% below its all-time high.
The two fan coins tanked side by side in the 2022 crypto carnage and never recovered. However, they generally maintained the same sentiment, with the French club inching lower than Milan, possibly because of the latter’s higher victory count.
However, as the chart below shows, football fans know how to appreciate the game itself and not only the winner!
