LUCKNOW (CoinChapter.com) — Global payment leader Mastercard has collaborated with MoonPay, a crypto payment firm, to explore the possibilities of Web3. The partnership, announced on Oct. 25, aims to enhance marketing efforts and discover new ways to connect with Mastercard’s consumers.
During the event Money20/20 in Las Vegas, Keith Grossman, the President of MoonPay, and Raja Rajamannar, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Mastercard, introduced the collaborative effort.
“Mastercard will harness MoonPay’s comprehensive Web3 portfolio, including authentication, minting, ETHPass, and more. We will also collaborate closely with our agency, Otherlife, to drive strategy, creativity, and front-end development for their experiential initiatives,”
Keith Grossman wrote in a LinkedIn post.
Building a Loyal Relationship with Consumers
Besides enhancing consumer experiences in the Web3 space, MoonPay will work towards integrating Mastercard’s suite of products and solutions to enhance compliance and trust within the Web3 industry. It will incorporate Mastercard tools such as “Click to Pay,” Mastercard Send, and Mastercard Crypto Credentials into MoonPay’s payment solutions.
Mastercard’s move to partner with MoonPay has received a great response from both sides. Adam Polansky, Mastercard’s Web3 marketing representative, expressed his excitement, saying:
“We’re so grateful for the partnership and even more excited about what’s ahead. Congrats to the full team.”
Mastercard has not issued any official statement yet. However, the company’s actions in recent years reflect its active exploration of the blockchain and crypto industry.
In 2022, Mastercard initiated a program enabling banks to offer crypto trading capabilities to their customers in collaboration with Paxos. The company has also forged partnerships with industry players like Coinbase and MoonPay to facilitate payments in the Web3 and NFTs world.
