Bybit is one of the top and most prominent crypto exchanges in the world and announced the opening of its global headquarters in Dubai on Monday.
The launch occurred almost one year after the company first announced its intentions to establish a presence in the Emirates. This was based on the in-principle approval it received to relocate its global headquarters to Dubai. Since the city is one of seven emirates that form the UAE (United Arab Emirates) it has an undeniable significance in the world.
Recognizing the worldwide impact and growth of blockchain technology, Dubai aimed to become an aspiring global crypto hub and launched a citywide Blockchain strategy in 2016.
Bybit CEO Ben Zhou also stated:
“As one of the most progressive digital assets hubs in MENA and the world, Dubai is optimally positioned to capture the opportunities in the sector,“.
